Dookie Videos
Longview (4:30)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in San Francisco (January 1994)

Description:
The first Green Day video, "Longview," was played all over
MTV when it first debuted. Longview sparked it all off. People were getting
an idea of who this punk band from California was. Green Day got off cheap to,
the whole video only cost around $300, and it was filmed in Billie's and Mike's
apartment. It really portrays Billie's boredom throughout the video.
Basket Case (3:11)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in San Francisco (April 1994)
Description:
The first widely known Green Day video... The video takes place
in a mental hospital, and the guys are patients there. The other patients have
these weird masks on. This video got major airplay on
MTV...it skyrocketed Green Day to the top. It was actually first filmed in
black and white and was colored in later!
When I Come Around (3:35)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in San Francisco (November 1994)

Description: "When I Come Around" has the guys following people
around for awhile. This single had major success with the public and critics
alike. Jason White, Green Day's longtime friend and touring guitarist, appears
in this video making out with his girlfriend. This video kind of shows how
people are always "curious" about what others are doing.
Welcome to Paradise (Unofficial)
Director: ?
Recorded in ?

Description:
A live music video that is not an official but was played on TV
stations including MTV2 and Fuse. It was not released with the rest of the
Dookie singles and is not on the International Supervideos collection.
Insomniac Videos
Geek Stink Breath (2:33)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in Los Angeles (September 1995)

Description: "Geek
Stink Breath" was Green Day's first release off their 1995 album, Insomniac.
This video was very gory and not for people with weak stomachs. It is a little
strange and surely Green Day's worst. It has some guy getting a tooth yanked
out. It also has the guys playing the song.
Stuck With Me (2:56)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in San Francisco (November 1995)

Description: "Stuck With Me", the 2nd
single off Insomniac, featured the characters found in the Insomniac artwork
entitled "God Told Me To Skin You Alive". It also has the guys playing the song
in black and white. This song was not released on single, only in a music video.
Brain Stew / Jaded (4:29)
Director: Kevin
Kerslake
Recorded in Los Angeles (December 1995)

Description:
"Brain Stew" and "Jaded" are actually 2 songs on the Insomniac CD. The
video put both songs together as they mix on the CD. This video is
strange, It has Green Day getting dragged around on a sofa by some plow
or something during the Brain Stew part. The end, however, when they
start "Jaded," is awesome. In that scene, they show the band playing.
This was also the first video that Mark Kohr didn't direct, and the
longest yet (up to this time).
Walking Contradiction
Director: Roman Coppola
Recorded in Los Angeles (April 1996)

Description: Like "Stuck With Me", "Walking
Contradiction" didn't get a single, just a video. This video has the
guys walking and all around them accidents are happening. This video
cost around $300,000 to make, and it was worth it. It, in my opinion, is
one of Green Day's best. The accidents include cop cars flipping over,
exploding street lights, falling newspaper stands, and all that good
stuff!
Nimrod Videos
Hitchin' A Ride (2:32)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in Los Angeles (August 1997)

Description: "Hitchin' a Ride" was the first single off Green
Day's 1997 album, nimrod. The video has them playing in a theater. It is kinda
weird, yet interesting!
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) (3:07)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in Los Angeles (November 1997)

Description: "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)", was the second
single off nimrod. This features Billie Joe just playing his guitar in an
apartment somewhere. All throughout the video, it shows other people going on
with their lives, including Mike (at a gas station) and Tre (getting checked by
police after falling). All the people seem to be staring at something in the
distance. Incidentally, this song was also a critic favorite. Critics said that
this was Green Day's "mature look into life". The punks, however, didn't like it
that much.
Redundant (4:29)
Director: Mark Kohr
Recorded in Los Angeles (March 1998)

Description: "Redundant" was the 3rd release off of nimrod. It
has the band playing in a room somewhere with people behind them. The same scene
plays over and over again behind the band, hence the name "Redundant." The
people are also doing the same thing over and over and over.
Nice Guys Finish Last (4:06)
Director: Evan Bernard
Recorded in Los Angeles (November 1998)
Description: Although "Nice Guys Finish Last" is on the nimrod.
album, this song was actually released as a single off of the "Varsity Blues"
soundtrack. In this video, Green Day have their own football team, cheerleaders,
field decoration, you know...the works. This is another one of Green Days'
bests. The whole video itself has a lot of energy too it. Green Day finish first
in the end! :)
Last Ride In (4:38)
Director: Lance Bangs
Recorded in Los Angeles (September 1999)

Description: "Last Ride In", was also another video that Green
Day made. The song is just instrumental, and it didn't get a single. All I
really know about this video is it was it is supposedly for a Green Day
documentary. It is, however, featured on the International Supervideos
collection!
Warning Videos
Minority (2:49)
Director: Evan Bernard
Recorded in Los Angeles (August 2000)

Description: "Minority" is the first single off Green Day's sixth
album, Warning. This is an awesome video that features Green Day riding through
a town on a float in a parade. No one, however, is watching the parade on the
side of the street. This shows the individuality and self-dependents of the
song. They also had custom made parade balloons of that looked like each member
of the band. At the end of the video, the guys destroy the float. This is
another one of Green Days' bests.
Warning (3:45)
Director: Francis Lawrence
Recorded in Los Angeles (November 2000)

Description: This "Warning" is the second video off the Warning
album. This video features a guy doing things that would obviously cause him
harm and what society tells people not to do. Watch for all the 'wrong' things
he does. He eats raw chicken, takes candy from a stranger, walks into a
cautioned police line, and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff!
Waiting (3:50)
Director: Marc Webb
Recorded in Los Angeles (May 2001)

Description: "Waiting" is the third video off Warning. This video
is like Green Day is having a party or friends just having a good time in slow
motion. I guess its like "spare the moment" kind of thing. Possibly describing a
time you've been waiting for and just enjoying it.
Macy's Day Parade (-:--)
Director: ?
Recorded in ?

Description: "Macy's Day Parade" is the fourth video off the
Warning album. This video is all black and white, and features Billie Joe
mostly. He is walking around some kind of construction site. Later, he joins
Mike and Tre to play part of the song. To me, it is a little boring, but hey,
that's just me...
I Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely (Unofficial) (2:46)
Director: MTV2
Recorded in ?

Description: This is an unofficial video that was possibly made
for an MTV2 special on Green Day. It shows the guys playing the remake of "I
Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely" from the Warning single. The video also has
spots where Mike and Billie talk.
International Superhits! Video
Poprocks and Coke (3:00)
Director: ?
Recorded in August 2001

Description: "Poprocks & Coke" is from the greatest hits album
"International Superhits". I'm not sure if it's an official video, but it is
cool. It just features the guys having fun and being Green Day while playing the
song. It has parts where Billie Joe is playing the song in front of the American
flag which looks really cool.
American Idiot Videos
American Idiot (3:02)
Director: Samuel Bayer
Recorded in Los Angeles (August 2004)

Description: The first single off the long awaited album,
"American Idiot". This is one of the best videos Green Day have ever done, it's
very original and very cool with a special effects showing them playing at
different speeds. It has a wooden, green American flag in the background that
drips during the instrumental break down in the song. Then the speakers explode
with a bunch of green slime - very cool!
Boulevard of Broken Dreams (4:52)
Director: Samuel Bayer
Recorded in Los Angeles (November 2004)

Description: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is the second single
off the American Idiot album. It's actually part 2 of 2. As one would expect,
this has the guys walking around town, and also jamming on their instruments.
The video has a great "vintage" feel to it, due to the scratchy film.
Holiday (4:38)
Director: Samuel Bayer
Recorded in Los Angeles (May 2005)

Description: And here is Part 1 of 2. The video for "Holiday" was
recorded as a prequel to "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". It was released second,
however, for some reason. It has Green Day speeding around and all over the
street in a car. You can actually see at the end of the video exactly where it
leads into the video for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" after they fall asleep at
the wheel after partying. The video features the guys partying and having a good
time both at the bar and in their car. It also has Mike dressed up as Sid
Vicious and bartender, Billie Joe as Rivers Cumo (Weezer) and 2 drunks, and Tre
as Alkaline Trio and a woman (in the bar).
Wake Me Up When September Ends (7:09)
Director: Samuel Bayer
Recorded in Los Angeles (November 2005)

Description: The fourth release from the American Idiot album,
this is the video for "Wake Me Up When September Ends". The video is a
mini-movie, revolving around the lives of a young couple in love. The boy
enlists in the army and goes to war. The girl gets really upset and lonely.
While the guy is at war, she sits alone and cries and thinks a lot. This is
based on Samuel Bayer's interpretation of the song. "Wake Me Up When September
Ends" is the first video in which Jason White appears as a "member" of Green
Day.
