According to VinylCollective.com there will be a second pressing of the new Pinhead Gunpowder EP. This pressing will be on purple and red vinyl.

There is some great deals in the official Green Day store! They now are offering combination orders. For example there is a three in one poster pack ($9.99), shirt and iPod Cover pack($16.99), CD and Sticker Combo pack ($25.99), Sticker and Button pack ($5.99), and 1039 Smoothed Combo (comes with CD, LP, and Cassette) pack ($17.99).

All but the 1039 Smoothed Combo pack also come with a key Keychain.

Jason Freeze who is currently the keyboardist for Green Day and the Foxboro Hot Tubs is also a minister. Last week Jason preformed the wedding for Jewel. Apparently Jason was her former keyboardist. Click here to read more.

Hey Everyone!
Welcome to the all new 1039 Sweet Children. As you know if you were an earlier visitor, it's been quite some time since the site has been completely up and running, but we're officially back! Now, we've teamed up with Green Day Land to make it better than ever! Jimmy and I have worked really hard on preparing everything and we are excited to open it up again. We will continue to work to make 1039SC your primary source for everything Green Day. We'll have constant updates and all the latest media, pictures, and other content. The site is not completely finish as of right now, but we couldn't wait any longer to open! As an shot to the past, I'd like to acknowledge that the site was originally opened by the founder, Holly, 7 years ago on this day! She had opened it on August 14, 2001! This relaunch is dedicated to her and all her hard work.

"Green Day: Bullet In A Bible" airs at 9:00 p.m EST on Septemeber 3rd. Special showcases the band supporting its biggest tour in its career, the Grammy-winning, quadruple-platinum, #1 charting "American Idiot" release. Based on two performances filmed in June 2005 before 65,000 fans at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in England.

- Top 10 Most Downloaded Golden Oldies

Green Day came in number seven on the list of the top 10 Most Downloaded Golden Oldies. This list is compiled of songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's and features songs such as Journeys "Don't Stop Belevin" and Queens "". Green Day came in number seven with "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life). This is what they wrote about the song:

"

Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)," 1,168,000. Though never released as a single, this was the biggest radio hit from the band’s 1997 album Nimrod. It has since become a prom night staple. Top 200 rank: #164."

The new Pinhead Gunpowder album is now available for you to buy on RecessRecords.com. As you can see from the picture to your right there are Green and Blue vinyls. Also this will be available on other formats in the up coming days. You can order your copy by clicking here. But remember the GDL is having a contest starting next week where you can get a chance to win one of the new albums.

Todd from Recess Records was nice enough to send us a 2 copys of the new PHGP album. We will be having a contest to win these records as soon as they get to my house.

He said that he was picking up the records today and they will be released sometime next week.

- American Idiot Top 5 Concept Albums / PHGP Essay

Ameriacn Idiot was rated in the top 5 concept albums at Gibson.com. For a complete list click here. Below is what they said:
"For a California punk trio that basically made a career out of celebrating its ADD, this politically charged rock opera marked a major triumph. Recorded after Green Day recorded and, ahem, “lost” 20 tracks that were meant to go on another album called Cigarettes and Valentines, the band spent three months coming up with the basic tracks for American Idiot. Inspired by the Who and musical soundtracks such as Jesus Christ Superstar and West Side Story, the group made a guitar-heavy double-album telling the convoluted story of a character called Jesus of Suburbia. Driven by epic songs like the title track, “Holiday,” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” the album scored a Grammy for Best Rock Album while a year later “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” won the prize for “Record of the Year.”

Over on Interpunk.com it says that the Pinhead Gunpowder album will be released on August 12th! Click here to go to that page. Also according to GDA they found out that the album will also come out on CD and it will be on iTunes.

- PHGP Album Update

We have an update for you about the new Pinhead Gunpowder 7". Over at VinylCollective.com they have posted the album cover which you can see over to the right. Click here for a bigger picture of it. It also seems that the album is self titled Below is what was posted on VinylCollective.com:

"Our friends at Recess should be picking up this week from his pressing plant a brand new Pinhead Gunpowder 7″ and a brand new Banana’s LP. Todd will also be picking up the repress of “Boogada Boogada Boogada”. So if the plant actually delivers all of these records, next week, we should be seeing a lot of great records.

So get on this while you can. The Pinhead 7″ is out of an edition of 500, todd was hoping for blue vinyl, but since the plant has been so backed up, he said if there is a color that gets this record pressed sooner, put it on that color so we will find out what it ends up being.

Todd has also been kind enough to give us a test pressing of the Bananas vinyl. Good luck friends."
